In 2022, eFishery contributed 1.55% to Indonesia’s Aquaculture Sector’s GDP. The company now plans to expand into the export market for both shrimp and fresh-water fish. Starting in 2023, eFishery intends to export tilapia as a fresh-water commodity, following its initial foray into shrimp exports. According to Warta Ekonomi, Indonesia is the world’s second-largest producer of tilapia, and in 2020, the country exported 12.29 thousand tonnes of tilapia with a value of US$78.44 million. eFishery is confident that its success in the domestic market can be replicated in the international market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
